Hotel GEO · Generative Engine Optimization

Travellers ask AI for a hotel.
Is yours in the answer?

YUSA measures whether a hotel's own website shows up in AI-generated answers, finds what keeps it out, and hands your web team a fix list they can execute. We publish what we measure.

What did we find in the Korean market?

Between 2026-06-10 and 2026-07-16 we ran the same procedure on 19 hotels in South Korea. We asked generative engines questions that never contain the hotel's name — “budget hotel near Myeongdong station”, for instance — and counted whether the hotel appeared.

1 times a hotel appeared as a recommendation, out of 95 non-branded Korean queries
8/17 hotels that appeared in none of their five queries (47% of those measured)
95% of the websites carried no machine-readable Hotel markup at all — 18 of 19
0 appearances across 46 Chinese-language queries covering 12 hotels

The 19 properties are not a random sample: they are hotels that asked us for a diagnosis, plus the competitors they named. Full figures and limits are on the Korean data page, 실측 데이터.

Why is this different from SEO?

SEO decides where a page sits in a list of links. GEO decides whether a property is inside the sentence an AI writes. The two overlap, but a page can rank well and still be absent from the answer.

How does an engagement run?

  1. Measure — non-branded queries against live engines, your hotel and up to three competitors side by side.
  2. Diagnose — what on the website an AI crawler cannot read or cite.
  3. Hand over — a work order your existing web agency can execute. No rebuild required.
